Benefits of Leaving Pets at Home

It’s better for your pets when they can stay at home. It’s much less stress on the animal to let them stay right where they are. Stick to feeding and exercise schedules and relax until you return. The stress is usually on the owner who worries that the animal will be stressed. That is not usually the case. Eric said that he doesn’t see stressed out animals.

“They’re at home, eating and sleeping and just waiting for you to return,” Eric said. “Owners worry for nothing. The pets are on their own turf and there’s nothing different for their day because I do what the owners normally do.

I custom create a plan for every client. If you normally let you dog out between 1 and 3 p.m. then that’s when I let them out. What do you normally do? if you feed them at this time that’s what I do.

It’s better to have a pet sitter if you really don’t want to traumatize your animal if you’re going on vacation.

You can take them to a kennel and your dog is caged, they might let them out once. They could be next to a sick dog. There’s nobody at the Vet if you take them there over the weekend.

Whereas if you let them stay home and I come and take care of them, they stay on schedule. Eat when they normally do. Go out or get walked when they usually do and it’s much less stress on the animal.

Usually there’s a several hour window that people want me to be at their homes so that they can keep their pet on a schedule.
